Indian Couture, To Me, Is Where Heritage Meets Innovation: RoseRoom by Isha Jajodia | Lifestyle News

RoseRoom by Isha Jajodia will showcase Whispers of Love To Myself at Taj Palace on July 24 at India Couture Week

Inspired by the RoseRoom muse—elegant yet unafraid—this collection is a visual love letter to the self.

Dreamlike, Defining and Detailed is how Isha Jajodia, founder and creative director of couture label RoseRoom, describes Hyundai India Couture Week 2025.

Isha Jajodia brings Whispers of Love To Myself, a visual love letter to the self on the runway and shares with News18 what to look forward to in this couture collection. Isha is all set to celebrate couture through a creative dialogue rooted in experimentation and contrast.

Describe the theme of the collection.

Whispers of Love to Myself is a tender dialogue between vulnerability and strength. Rooted in the timeless language of lace, the collection celebrates quiet beauty, inner resilience, and the soft power of self-acceptance. Each piece speaks in hushed tones—structured corsetry softened with billowing layers, intricate textures paired with fluid forms. The palette breathes delicacy, while the craftsmanship honours detail and emotion. Inspired by the Roseroom muse—elegant yet unafraid—this collection is an intimate offering, a visual love letter to the self. It is not just fashion, but a moment of stillness, reflection, and personal poetry woven into fabric.

Every silhouette was chosen to mirror the idea of self-expression, of dressing for oneself without compromise.

Colours from the collection that are perfect for the wedding season. Pastels, blush tones, ivory, and soft powdery hues are the standout colours from the collection that are perfect for the wedding season. This season, we’re also introducing sage green—a refreshing yet elegant addition that beautifully complements the bridal palette. These shades reflect a modern shift in bridal styling—lighter, more personal, and emotionally resonant.

Silhouettes that have been highlighted in the collection.

Silhouettes in the collection range from voluminous skirts and sharply tailored corsets to reimagined saris, fluid jackets, and sculpted blouses. This season, I wanted to push boundaries – stylistically and emotionally. The collection is rooted in experimentation and contrast: soft tulle meets rigid boning, traditional drapes are paired with contemporary cuts. Every silhouette was chosen to mirror the idea of self-expression, of dressing for oneself without compromise. It’s about fluid femininity anchored by strength, a whisper of romance with an undercurrent of power.

The palette breathes delicacy, while the craftsmanship honours detail and emotion.

What does Indian Couture mean to you and your brand?

It’s a defining moment, not just for me but for my entire RoseRoom team and co-creators. For me, it’s also about purpose, about being able to offer something new and reimagine. It’s about respecting and honouring the craft, while embracing the changing and evolving dynamics of the fashion industry. Indian couture, to me, is where heritage meets innovation , a space where I can tell meaningful stories through fabric, silhouette, and feeling.

Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 in association with Reliance Brands, an initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is on till July 30, 2025.
