It is a naturally occurring product in the skins of grapes (red and purple varieties, in particular). Consuming whole grapes does not only provide a greater quantity of this antioxidant than red wine, but also additional fiber, water and other polyphenols. Fresh grapes make a tasty, thirst quenching snack, promote heart health and have anti-inflammatory properties, but lack the drawback of alcohol. Grapes contain between 0.07925 and 1.535 milligrams of resveratrol per 100 grams.
