Kate Middleton showed ‘powerful image as next Queen’ during Trooping the Colour

Kate Middleton sends powerful message about future during latest outing

Kate Middleton sent a powerful message about the future during Trooping the Colour this year.

Royal expert Jennie Bond noted that the Princess of Wales’ wasn’t at the parade just as one of the most senior royals, but also as the Colonel of the Irish Guard.

The future Queen took her place next to King Charles and Queen Camilla on the dias.

“I also thought it was highly significant to see Catherine on the dais alongside the King and Queen,” Jennie said.

She added, “It was a very powerful image of our next Queen alongside her father-in-law who has made no secret of the respect he has for Catherine, especially after the cancer journey they have shared. It certainly gave you the feeling that royal life is pretty much back on track after the scary past 18 months.”

It is worth mentioning that Kate couldn’t take up her role of Colonel of the Irish Guards last year due to her cancer treatment.

Notably, Prince William stood next to his father on the balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace this year while Kate was invited to stand next to King Charles last year.

“I think the fact that William stood next to his father on the balcony was a signal that things are returning to normal,” Jennie said of the future King.

She added, “Last year was an exception, with the Princess of Wales taking on her first public duty since her cancer diagnosis, and I think the King was showing his special support for her by asking her to stand alongside him. But today it was the correct order and, in a way, that was quite reassuring.”

Notably, the expert also noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were on their “best behaviour.”
