Mark Ruffalo did not fear speaking out for causes he believes in. The latest example he gave was during his appearance at the 2026 Golden Globes.
In the wake of controversies involving the ICE or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he weighs in on them by first wearing a pin which reads “Be Good” in honour of Renee Nicole Good, a mother from Minnesota whose death sparked much criticism of the authority.
While his conversation on the red carpet, the Hulk star slams the current U.S. administration for its decision, saying, “It’s so hard to pretend anymore.”
“I’m not feeling so great. We have a woman, Renee Good, who was murdered last week,” he continues. “I don’t know if I can pretend that this crazy stuff isn’t happening.”
The Academy-nominated actor also calls out J.D. Vance, the United States’ Vice President, for “lying about what’s happening.”
In addition, Mark hit out at U.S. president Donald Trump for his decision, which the actor described as an “illegal invasion” of Venezuela.
“We’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela that we illegally invaded. [Trump] is telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality,” he says, referring to his remarks in a recent interview.
Apart from this, Mark was nominated for Best Actor – Drama for his performance in Task. However, Noah Wyle for The Pitt won the category.
