Céline Dion rebels Stiff-Person syndrome with dance video

Céline Dion shares playful life update

Céline Dion is proving her swing is as strong as her spirit.

The My Heart Will Go On singer hit the golf course for some quality time with her sons—René-Charles, 24, and 14-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy—showcasing not just her skills on the green but also her playful dance moves.

“I had a beautiful day with my boys out on the course,” she captioned a March 19 Instagram video. “Getting back into the swing of things!!”

And she definitely impressed her toughest critics—her kids. After one particularly smooth shot, one of her sons could be heard cheering, “That one was so good.”

The outing marked a heartwarming moment for Dion, who has been open about her battle with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that has caused severe spasms and even led to broken ribs.

“I had broken ribs at one point,” the 56-year-old revealed in a Today interview. “Sometimes, when it’s very severe, it can break some ribs.”

The condition has also affected her vocal cords, impacting her ability to sing.

“It’s like somebody strangling you,” she explained. “It’s like somebody is pushing your larynx and pharynx when it gets into a spasm.”

Despite the challenges, Dion has shown unwavering determination. She delivered a triumphant performance at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics and remains committed to her music.

“The way I see it, I have two choices,” she told Vogue France. “Either I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off and it’s over, I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of my mirror and sing to myself.”

And in true Céline fashion, she left no room for doubt, “I know that nothing is going to stop me.”

With that attitude—and that golf swing—there’s no question she’s still in the game.
